Egg Chow Mein



Chow mein are very popular Chinese dish. It's a stir-fried noodles and sometimes egg, meat etc. It's originate from China. This Chinese dish is most popular in restaurants and street stoles. This awesome dish mostly popular in India, Nepal, the UK or more countries.
In India, I don't think there have any person left who never taste chow mein or any kitchen left where never cooked this delicious dish. We Indian mainly eat this dish as a tiffin. If you ever come to our country you can find this delightful dish in every food stoles and restaurants and this dish is so cheapest food ever. When we go for outing, occasionally or ridding or any purpose we always prefer chow mein as a tiffin. And it's a most favourite food of kids. They always want to eat chow mein.
So if you can make this as like Street style then you can make your kids a happy but healthy way and we also want to eat street side chow mein but all time it's not possible to go and then buy. So make the chow mein at home but street style.

Ingredients:

  • Noodles - 200gm
  • Onion - 1 medium size
  • Chilli - 2 to 3 pieces
  • Capsicum Chopped - 1/2 cup
  • Carrot Chopped - 1/2 cup
  • Potato (optional) - 1 medium size
  • Egg (optional) - 1 piece
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - Refined oil
  • Soya Sauce - 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1tsp
  • Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Water - as per required

Preparation :

Chop the veggies in shape and wash properly.



Slice the onion.



Cooking Process:

Boiling the Noodles:.        

Boiling Time: 5 to 7 minutes

  • First take water in a deep pan.
  • Boil the water on high flame.
  • Add 1tbsp oil and 1tsp salt , and mix with water very well.

  • Boil the water on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Then add noodles.

  • Make sure the noodles will go completely under the water.

  • Boil the noodles 3 to 4 minutes.

  • Then stain it from the water. Quickly wash the noodles with normal water.

  • At last you can add and polish some oil over the noodles. That way it's not sticked with each noodles.
  • *I do more one thing I put the chopped carrots into the noodle stain water. That way carrots are boiled little amount. I put them into the water for some minutes then stain it from the water.

Veggies Fry:

  • Heat up 5 to 6tbsp oil in a frying pan.
  • First fry the potatoes for 3 to 8 minutes on medium to low flame and the put it aside.
  • After that fry the carrots with salt on medium to low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Then add chopped calcium and chilli's with the carrots.
  • Fry them with salt for 3 to 4 minutes. Then add fried potatoes again.
  • Mix and fry all ingredients for more some minutes on low flame.
  • Free the middle space of the frying pan and turn the veggies aside.
  • Then break a egg into the pan.

  • Quickly smash and fry the egg with a pinch of salt for 1 minute.

  • Then mix them all and twist.
  • Again free the middle space of the frying pan and turn the veggies aside. Then fry the onion.

  • Fry it on low flame for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • At last mix the all ingredients, taste salt. Add if required.
  • Then add 1tsp soya sauce with the veggies.
  • Mix it very well. Then add the noodles.

  • Add oil if required. And keep twisting.
  • Add salt and 1tsp garam masala powder with the noodles.

  • Mix and fry.
  • Continuously stir and toss the noodles.
  • After 2 to 3 minutes add 1tbsp tomato Sauce.

  • Mix it very well. And fry more 2 minutes on low flame.
  • At last add 1 tbsp soya sauce. Mix properly and total fry 5 to 10 minutes. Then off the flame .

  • Serve it warm with sauce.
  • Enjoy your delicious homemade street style chow mein.

Note:

  • Most important thing is boil the noodles. Don't make the noodles so soft or so hard. Boil it 2 to 3 minutes and make like al dente.
  • Don't forget to add salt and oil while boiling.
  • Noodles can be over cook because after staining it also increase steam, so wash it with normal water after staining.
  • If you can boil the noodles properly then you never want to buy chow mein.
